I just cut the sleeves off of one of my old thrift store sweaters that I never even wore—not once!—over the winter. I made some lovely little headbands out of the upper parts of the sleeves, and I’m going to use the bottom parts for some sweet leg warmers! Of course I won’t be using the leg warmers yet since it’s a lovely 70 degrees steadily now, but I can’t wait to wear them this fall & winter!

Chlorella is available at many organic health food stores, and the website linked above also sells it. Cilantro is a great herb to add to your herb garden if you don’t already grow some.

So far I’ve used her herbal tooth powder—surprisingly effective!—and her Ultimate Green Drink. I’m very pleased with both. On my list of things to try are her sunblock, mouthwash, bug spray, and rosey chai… and that’s the short list. c:

This is another one of my essentials: jasmine wind deodorant from Rainwater Botanicals.

When I started using Dr. Bonner’s soap, I noticed that regular deodorant felt sooo weird when I washed under my arms. This was in fall / winter time, so I just stopped wearing any deodorant at all for a while. I quickly realized how offensive this was, so I tried a couple different organic deodorants as well as a deodorant stone. I wasn’t satisfied. I searched all over Etsy and read tons of customer reviews. Rainwater Botanicals seemed to have more than plenty of happy customers, so I gave it a shot. I absolutely LOVE this deodorant. It lasts all day, sometimes even two days depending on my activity level. The scent is just wonderful. I have the matching roll-on perfume, so it’s sort of become my “signature” scent :3

This stuff comes highly recommended from a girl who loves to boogie & play outside. Give it a shot! You won’t be disappointed.

These are by FAR the best things I’ve ever used on my face, and they last forever! My skin feels perfectly clean and refreshed after each wash. It’s never dried out and never too oily. My skin type is normal-oily, so finding something to balance it out has been a challenge. My face literally glows now after using these wonderful products for the past 6 months. Hello!

My name is Brittany, and I’m 22 years old. I am not vegetarian or vegan; however, everything I use on the outside of my body is 100% plant-based. The health of my skin and hair has improved dramatically since I began using natural products, so I decided to share my secrets with others!

About a year ago, I made the decision to let my hair dread naturally. This means no tools, hardly any maintenance, and certainly no synthetic soaps or shampoos. Since that time, my entire beauty regime has morphed into a completely plant-based collection of products, most of them handmade. Since I buy most of what I use online from small business, I thought a blog dedicated to natural beauty would be a great way to let you all know about the wonderful products and people I’ve come across in the last year.
